12.) Recommended Infertility Resources
I’ll repeat the resource information I provided earlier. The big one, an international organization that started in the United States and is the oldest fertility organization in the world, is called ASRM – the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. That includes everybody – the medical side, the mental health side, the ethicists, lawyers, etc. Their website is very easy to use and you can find mental health practitioners there who are members on the ASRM site.
Resolve.org as also been around for a long time, I think something like 30+ years. They’re not as medically focused as ASRM. Resolve is more of a support-group style organization for people in the community who are dealing with infertility. They also have local chapters where you can connect with a support group in your local area.
KP: Wow, this has been great! You know a lot!
Diane: I’m just so happy that I had the opportunity to do this. There’s a lot more we could have covered, but I think I’ve hit the major pieces and I’m grateful that we were able to have this conversation.
