I’m not exactly sure how to categorize this! I just listened to an interesting segment on NPR’s All Things Considered. Former Google Design Ethicist Tristan Harris (with his nonprofit group Time Well Spent ) is raising awareness of what he calls “the attention economy,” or basically, how software giants like Google, Apple, and Facebook may use features like video auto play to keep user’s attention.
