I’m not exactly sure how to categorize this! I just listened to an interesting segment on NPR’s All Things Considered. Former Google Design Ethicist Tristan Harris (with his nonprofit group Time Well Spent  ) is raising awareness of what he calls “the attention economy,” or basically, how software giants like Google, Apple, and Facebook may use features like video auto play to keep user’s attention. You can listen to the NPR segment, which aired on July 10th, 2017: “Tech Design Ethicist Works to Raise Awareness Of Internet Addiction.”
